A little history on the banner photo:

Taken at Gas Works Park Seattle Washington by Tina

Tina and I wandered around taking photos of the various areas in the old

industrial park waiting for sunset.  As the evening shadows began to lengthen

and the sky turned that wonderful gold and orange.  We could hear music

coming from over the hill.  The sounds of big names like Bing Crosby, Frank

Sinatra, and many others that I recognized but couldn't remember, floated down

to us gently like a soft breeze.  Most of them were old show tunes but some

were nice slow dance tunes from the 40’s and 50's.

Tina looked up on the hill from where we were standing and saw all those

people doing different things.  A photographer shooting the skyline, a violinist

playing to a friend, boyfriends and girlfriends in repose being romantic or

talking and a person just sitting being pensive.  Then when you get towards the

bottom of the hill, some people were dancing with umbrellas. I have no idea

what or why they were doing that, but they were.  What a feast for the camera.

The lighting and the people came together in a perfect blend of surrealism.

We were able to take 3 photos like this.  This one being the best.
